Taylor had initially claimed that the pistol was safely locked in her purse, with the key concealed beneath her mattress. She subsequently admitted, however, that the firearm was easily accessible. In a separate case, Taylor confessed in June to possessing a firearm while under the influence of marijuana. This case’s verdict is anticipated in October.
