Partha Chatterjee should be expelled, says TMC’s Kunal Ghosh

Partha Chatterjee should be removed from all party positions and expelled from the party, according to TMC spokesperson Kunal Ghosh on Thursday.

Gosh remark comes amid the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) ongoing probe. The agencies are currently looking into Partha Chatterjee in relation to an alleged teacher recruitment fraud in West Bengal.

However, later on he said that he had expressed his own views and now the party has taken up the matter in another tweet.

On Wednesday, the ED raided Arpita Mukherjee’s second apartment, where she lives with Chatterjee’s close associates, and found additional Rs 28.90 crore in cash, more than 5 kg of gold, and various papers. The agency had previously discovered gold worth Rs. 76 lakh, Rs. 56 lakh in foreign money, and Rs. 21.90 crore in cash at Mukherjee’s home.
