A North Carolina man won the Powerball Drawing 2024, becoming the second millionaire of the year for the second consecutive year.
Powerball Drawing 2024: A North Carolinian won a drawing on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest” on ABC just after midnight, making him the first millionaire of the year for the second consecutive year.
Clinton resident Pamela Bradshaw was the winner this year.
Bradshaw declared, “I’m so blessed,” following his drawing victory during an ABC live broadcast. “I’m so blessed.”
First, Bradshaw won a VIP trip to New York City in an NC Education Lottery second-chance lottery. She was one of five players nationwide to take home the award. She was then chosen at random as the $1 million winner out of the five.
Bradshaw had never been to the Big Apple or flown on an aeroplane before the journey to New York.
“I cried on the plane ride and I cried at the Statue of Liberty,” she stated. “It’s just been so incredible.”
Powerball Jackpot Hits $685 Million, Breaking Records
Bradshaw stated that she intends to purchase a home with her money.
About what she intended to do with her prize money, Bradshaw stated, “I would love to have my own home that is mine and that I feel safe in.” “I can furnish my own home to make it appear nice, feel secure, and be tidy. Just a small cottage or something with one or two beds, nothing grandiose.”
The Powerball First Millionaire of the Year lottery was won by Gary Krigbaum of Spindale, a community in Rutherford County, the previous year.
With the Powerball game’s jackpot expected to surpass $810 million, the frenzy around it is expected to continue on Monday night.
