Puttur: Former soldier arrested for behaving indecently with woman

Puttur, Jul 18: Sampya police arrested a former soldier on the allegations of behaving in an indecent manner with a married woman who is an employee of a private company.

Videep Kumar, security guard of a private company and a former soldier, resident of Kumbra Kurikkara is in police custody as per the complaint filed by a married woman also employed with the same company and resident of Tingaladi.

The complainant married woman is working as a security guard too. Videep who is working along with her, was trying to get acquired with the woman, but she ignored him.

On July 16, the woman traveled from Kumbra to Tingaladi by bus after completing her work and was walking towards her home. Videep followed her in his bike and waylaid her at Tingaladi Dharbe and tried to speak to her and behaved indecently. He left the spot as he noticed that the public was gathering around.

Sampya police are investigating further.
