Ramgarh: Father of two arrested for raping deaf and mute minor girl

A man, who is the father of two children, allegedly raped a deaf and dumb 15-year-old minor in the Bhadaninagar OP area of Ramgarh district.

The accused, Maneshwar, is a neighbour of the victim. The victim’s mother filed a case of rape in the Bhadaninagar OP on Tuesday. He has been forwarded to judicial custody today.

According to the complaints, the victim was alone at home on Monday. Her mother had gone out for some work and her father had gone to work in the field. When the mother came back home, she found her daughter crying.  Since she cannot speak, she told everything through gestures.

After this, the girl’s mother filed a case against the accused person. Taking the matter seriously, the police arrested the accused and sent the victim for medical examination.

Bhadaninagar OP in-charge Sonu Kumar said, “Immediate action has been taken soon after receiving the application. An investigation has been started after arresting the accused. A case has been registered. The victim has been sent for medical examination. Accused Maneshwar has been forwarded to judicial custody on Wednesday.”
