The odds of receiving the grand prize in Powerball are 1 in 292,201,336.

Retailers who sell winning Powerball tickets receive a one percent commission on the amount of the prize.

From the date of the successful drawing, winners have one year to claim their prize.

Each Powerball ticket costs $2. There are 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands where tickets are sold.
