Witherspoon, 47, stated in a profile published by Harper’s Bazaar on July 12 –

When I was previously divorced, the tabloid media were able to tell the public how I felt or how I was coping, and it felt very out of control.

According to Witherspoon, things are different and better this time around.

Witherspoon elaborated-

It feels much more authentic to be able to say things in my own voice and not let someone else control what’s going on. Then, naturally, there is speculation, which I cannot control. I can only be my most sincere, forthright self while remaining vulnerable.

She characterised her present situation as “a vulnerable time for me.” In addition, she stated that she does not feel isolated during the procedure.

Witherspoon furthered-

“I consider how many other individuals are experiencing this. I do not feel at all alone. I feel extremely connected.

Witherspoon continues to work for her production company, Hello Sunshine, while attempting to settle down and take on fewer responsibilities. In the past, the 47-year-old actress expressed concern over securing specific roles and being perceived in a particular manner. Today, in her forties, she appreciates the “I don’t care” attitude that comes with ageing.

Witherspoon tells Harper’s Bazaar

“I believe you begin to realise that you have a limited amount of time to accomplish what you want in this world, and that worrying about other people’s perceptions of you is a waste of that time. It is liberating to be free of other people’s opinions in your forties. That is, they are always present. They no longer matter as much to you, which is a wonderful sensation.”
