Rise In Gas Prices: Minnesota Gas Prices Experience Fluctuations in the Past Week

Rising oil prices have gradually increased gasoline prices, but they remain lower than $3 per gallon in Midwestern and Gulf Coast states, a trend analysts warn may not last long.

Rise in Gas Prices: In recent weeks, rising oil prices have pushed the price of gasoline up ever so gradually. However, gas prices are still lower than $3 per gallon in Midwestern and Gulf Coast states, a trend that analysts warn may not last long.

In a statement issued on Thursday, AAA spokesperson Andrew Gross stated that pump prices are beginning to increase at this time of year, usually peaking at the end of July.

According to Moody’s Analytics, another spike in gas prices to $4 or higher is among several factors that could jeopardize President Biden’s chances of reelection in the fall, according to its credit rating agency. After several years of high inflation that have already adversely affected consumers, a significant rise in gas prices could put upward pressure on inflation broadly.
