Sarah Young Illness: Is She Really Suffering From Cancer?

Sarah's devotional writings result from her daily Bible study, prayer, and journaling about spiritual experiences.

Sarah Young Illness: Spiritual works and diaries by Sarah Young have made her a New York Times bestseller. Her religious works, including Jesus Listens and Jesus Calling, have sold over 40 million copies worldwide. Jesus Calling, her debut novel, has already appeared on all bestseller listings.

Sarah’s devotional writings result from her daily Bible study, prayer, and journaling about spiritual experiences. She and her husband, Stephen Young, served as missionaries in Australia and Japan for many years.

Stephen was born in Tokyo, Japan, while Sarah was born in Tennessee, Tennessee being a state in the United States. They met in 1977, shortly after graduating from Covenant Seminary, where they had both been students. Sarah and Steve Young have two children who are married and four adored grandchildren.

Sarah and Steve are Presbyterian Church of America members who have spent nearly eight years in Japan establishing congregations through World Presbyterian Missions and Mission To The World. In 1987, they partnered with the Westminster Japanese Church in Atlanta, Georgia, to support the Mission to North America.

After several years, devotional readers have begun to inquire about Sarah Young once more. Where has Sarah travelled? Find the answer listed below.

Without publicising her own book releases or participating in author interviews, Sarah Young has set a remarkable example for other authors by creating a recognisable brand. Her publicist also responds to all of her interview queries via email. In this manner does she participate in the media. Nonetheless, there are several reasons for this.

Check out this tweet regarding Sarah Young’s struggle with Lyme disease- “Hello everyone. Instead of my usual scripture posting, I am requesting prayer for my dear friend Sarah Young, whose writings on Jesus’ Calling have likely benefited many of you. She is currently ailing and requires prayer. She has fought Lyme disease for…”

Sarah is rarely available because she resides in an isolated area of Perth. In addition, she has Lyme disease, which has received extensive media coverage. Since 2009, when she contracted Lyme disease in the United States, she has been battling it.

She spent six months receiving intensive medical care in the United States. Sarah’s health did not significantly improve despite months of expensive treatments. She has been diagnosed with Lyme disease and is suffering from severe vertigo.

Lyme disease is an infectious bacterial disease transmitted to humans through tick strikes or stings. Possible symptoms include severe joint pain, a rash, a headache, a fever, exhaustion, and enlarged lymph nodes. Although antibiotics may cure this condition, you may still experience some side effects.

Approximately 30,000 cases of Lyme disease are reported annually to the CDC in the United States alone. Jesus Today, authored by Sarah Young, is another in her series of religious novels, and was inspired by her struggles with illness.

The author asserts that, had she been healthy, she never would have written these works. The subject of these works is her battle with despondency and subsequent ascent to optimism.
