Despite the fact that Shanquella Robinson died violently just 24 hours into a group trip to Cabo, Mexico in 2022, it appears that the writers and producers of the Tubi crime drama Street Legal decided it was acceptable to incorporate Robinson’s tragic real-life story without the family’s consent.
Shanquella’s “covertly exploited” portrayal violates her family’s and estate’s legal rights to publicity, according to a cease and desist letter.
