The following is the schedule of payments:

Social Security disbursements for recipients since before May 1997 begin on September 1.
13 September: Payments for individuals with birthdays between the 1st and 10th of any given month.
September 20: Payments for individuals born between the 11th and 20th of any given month.
September 27: Payments for those born between the 21st and 31st of any month.
Depending on your birth date, the Social Security Administration sends payments on the second, third, or fourth Wednesday of each month.

If your birthday falls between the 1st and 10th of the month, your payment is sent on the second Wednesday of the following month.

Between the 11th and 20th birthdays, payments are made on the third Wednesday of the month.

Payments are sent on the fourth Wednesday of the month for those born between the 21st and 31st.

Exceptions notwithstanding, SSI recipients typically receive their payments on the first of each month.
