Startling Bear Capture Shakes Travelers and Authorities At Florida Airport: After being observed on the grounds of Tampa International Airport in Florida, a black bear was captured and relocated to a safer location.

According to a news release from the airport, the bear was first spotted on Tuesday by a Transportation Security Administration employee, who then notified the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission was notified and a snare was set. On Wednesday, FWC officers were again dispatched to the area after the bear was spotted. They attempted to tranquillize the bear twice, but it evaded them both times.

Wednesday night, the bear was eventually captured when it strayed into the trap. According to the airport, the bear was en route to a wildlife sanctuary in another region of the state.
