The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission was notified and a snare was set. On Wednesday, FWC officers were again dispatched to the area after the bear was spotted. They attempted to tranquillize the bear twice, but it evaded them both times.
Wednesday night, the bear was eventually captured when it strayed into the trap. According to the airport, the bear was en route to a wildlife sanctuary in another region of the state.
