Susan Lea Page, the Washington, D.C. bureau chief for USA Today, was born on February 12. She has worked as a reporter, political commentator, and biographer in the United States.

Page is a graduate of the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, where she was a Pulitzer Fellow. She was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas.

Page’s early interests included both music and writing. She began learning the oboe in third grade and played in orchestras all through public school.

Not only did she serve as editor-in-chief of the school yearbook, The Hoofbeats, but she also wrote and edited for the school newspaper, The Stampede. She seriously contemplated enrolling in a music programme, but finally decided to pursue a career in journalism at Northwestern.
