Suzanne Somers Cause Of Death: The renowned actress Suzanne Somers died on Sunday, one day before her 77th birthday. On behalf of the Somers family, publicist R. Couri Hay issued the following statement: “For over 23 years, the “Three’s Company” actor has battled an aggressive form of breast cancer. According to him, Somers passed away at home, encircled by his family.

There will be a private family burial this week, followed by a memorial service in November.

In 2000, Somers was initially diagnosed with a malignancy of the epidermis. As she describes it, others criticized her for employing a “chemical-free and organic” lifestyle to combat cancer. She was criticized by the American Cancer Society for her public denials of chemotherapy, which were expressed on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” and other platforms. In July, Somers documented the recurrence of her breast cancer through an Instagram post.

Suzanne Marie Mahoney Somers was born in San Bruno, California, on October 16, 1946, to a medical secretary mother and a horticulturist father. Somers earned her first acting role in 1973’s “American Graffiti” directed by George Lucas, in which she portrayed an unnamed blonde beauty in a white Thunderbird who garners the interest of college freshman Richard Dreyfuss.

Guest-starring on television programs such as The Rockford Files, Magnum Force, and The Six Million Dollar Man during the 1970s were among her many appearances. Somers portrayed one of the two female protagonists in the 1977 ABC sitcom “Three’s Company,” which also featured Joyce DeWitt and John Ritter as a group of three roommates.

The marriage was dissolved in 1968. During her tenure as a prize model on “The Anniversary Game” in 1969, Somers encountered game show presenter Alan Hamel; the couple entered into matrimony in 1977. Hay’s statement indicates that Somers died in the company of Hamel, her son Bruce, and additional intimate family members.
