Texas Ranks High on List of States with Most Spoilt Dogs in the US

Texas celebrates Pet Day with special treats, ranking among the most spoiled pet states in a national survey of dog owners.

Most spoilt dogs states: Are you a dog owner in Texas who enjoys treating your pet to special treats at restaurants, birthday parties, and home-cooked meals?

The Lone Star State was ranked highly on Forbes Advisor’s list of states with the most spoilt fur babies in the country.

A national survey of dog owners yielded 10 critical criteria, which the business examined to determine which states treated their dogs the most in honor of National Love Your Pet Day (Feb. 20).

Texas came in sixth with the most spoiled dogs, scoring 70.8 out of 100.

Texas came in sixth place among pet owners who said they would probably walk their dogs in a stroller (33%) and get special goodies for their dogs (52%).

According to the survey, 58% of dog owners in Texas—the sixth-highest percentage—claim to regularly make home-cooked meals or treats.

Finally, the study revealed that Texans came in eighth overall, with owners most likely to purchase pet clothes and accessories (59.5%) and most likely to host canine birthday parties or festivities (44.5%).

The state of Florida ranked highest for having the most spoiled puppies, according to a Forbes Advisor survey. In Florida, 66.5 percent of dog owners spend more money on their pet’s upkeep and health than they do. Furthermore, 63% of dog owners in Florida place an order at a restaurant for their dog to receive a special gift.

Alaska comes in second, with 49% of dog owners regularly celebrating their dogs’ birthdays or other occasions. Additionally, Alaskan dog owners rank fifth in terms of ordering a special treat from a restaurant (54%) and buying clothes and accessories for their dogs (62%).
