His wife, Kalabrya Haskins, reported that he contacted her and said he was going to deliver gasoline to a 911 dispatcher. She called 911 to request a welfare check because Haskins had not returned her call to provide an update.

The report indicates that this traffic incident was an accident. No one has been charged with a crime. April’s incident investigation concluded that the driver was not at fault. A second vehicle that was attempting to avoid Haskins also collided with him.

Numerous publications, including Fox Sports’ Andy Slater in Miami, cited the medical examiner’s inquiry report, which stated that Haskins was in the car with a “female companion” who claimed he had gone to get petrol. On April 9, 2022, Dwayne Haskins Jr. was tragically murdered. He was a devoted and caring father, son, and brother. He desired to become a father and then a grandfather. Dwayne was compassionate and adored children and creatures.

As a high school senior in Maryland, Dwayne was a nationally renowned scholar-athlete. Dwayne was an Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback who set numerous records. He was an Academic All-Big Ten Student-Athlete.

Dwayne was the Big Ten Championship Most Valuable Player. He was the most valuable player at the Rose Bowl. He competed for the Heisman Trophy. Washington selected Dwayne 15th overall in the 2019 NFL Draft.

When he died, he was a quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and his instructors and teammates cherished him. Dwayne Haskins was all of the aforementioned and much more.
