Tragic Fire Engulfs Milwaukee House: The Milwaukie Police Department reported that before firefighters could suppress a blaze at a home in Milwaukie early on Sunday morning, flames from a neighbouring home also broke out. Currently, police are searching for a person purportedly spotted at the location by witnesses.

Clackamas Fire officers and firefighters responded to a report of a domestic fire in the 2900 block of Southeast Harrison Street just before 3 a.m. When they arrived, the house was engulfed in flames and the surrounding trees were beginning to catch fire.

Police reportedly discovered the woman who claimed to be the home’s resident and who stated that no one else was present. In the interim, police began evacuating the surrounding homes.

As firemen continued to arrive at the scene, flames were already engulfing the residence near the fire’s origin. Police removed everyone inside, including the animals, without reports of any injuries. According to the police and firemen, the fire’s origin home was densely populated with items, making it difficult to enter and extinguish.

With the assistance of Portland Fire & Rescue ladder personnel, Clackamas firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to other homes.

The focus of the Milwaukie police’s current investigation is the “person or persons” whom multiple witnesses claim to have seen shortly before the fire broke out and who “may know about the incident.” Milwaukie police and Clackamas Fire are still investigating the origin of the fire.
