Two die as car, other vehicles wash away after water rises to bridge in Patratu

Two people lost their lives after a car, bike and a scooty were washed away after flood waters came up to the Nalkari bridge at Bhuyan Tola of Talatand in Patratu of Ramgarh district this morning due to heavy rains.

As soon as the information was received, several senior officials also rushed to the spot and Ramgarh police began the relief work in which the bodies of two people were found. The car, bike and scooty have also been recovered.

Local residents are also cooperating with the police in the relief work. Police and administration are still searching for any other person who might have drowned in the incident.

Meanwhile, the police are trying to find out the name and address of the deceased persons. It is being said that the car riders had come from Chaibasa to Patratu.
