Unlock 4 Key Guidelines update: Schools and colleges will remain closed till September 30, says the new guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).

The ministry issued the new guidelines keeping in mind on the strategy to curb the spread of COVID-19 further relaxing a range of restrictions on movement and activities.

While the “Unlock 4” guidelines were issued on Saturday, educational institutions will continue to remain closed but “academic… functions” are allowed provided they do not involve a congregation of more than a 100 persons at a time.

The decision to keep school and college shut was taken after “extensive consultation” with states and Union Territories.

Schools and colleges will not be allowed to hold “regular class activity” till September 30.

While students in Class 9 to 12 “may be permitted to visit their schools, in areas outside the containment zones only, on a voluntary basis, Skill training will be allowed in National Skill Training Institutes and Industrial Training Institutes.

Metro rail will be allowed to operate with effect from September 7 in a graded manner, by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MOHUA)/ Ministry of Railways (MOR), in consultation with MHA: Govt of India

There shall be no restriction on inter-State and intra-State movement of persons and goods. No separate permission/ approval/ e-permit will be required for such movements: Govt of India

National Directives for #COVID19 management shall continue to be followed throughout country, while ensure social distancing. Shops need to maintain adequate physical distancing among customers. MHA will monitor the effective implementation of National Directives: Govt of India

#UNLOCK4 All activities, except the following, shall be permitted outside containment zones: (i) Cinema halls, swimming pools, entertainment parks, theatres (excluding open-air theatre) and similar places. (ii) International air travel of passengers, except as permitted by MHA.
