Furthermore, each of us collectively swore an oath affirming our readiness to lay down our lives in service of this magnificent nation.

Veterans Day Ceremony: Veterans Day is a festive occasion. It is a time to honor those who have served while donning the uniform. Despite the fact that our uniforms were of various hues, we all served under the banner of the red, white, and blue. Furthermore, each of us collectively swore an oath affirming our readiness to lay down our lives in service of this magnificent nation.

Irrespective of whether an individual has served in combat or not, veterans universally share a common affinity. All veterans have demonstrated the servant leadership necessary for an effective military.

All Americans should be grateful for the servant leadership that the millions of individuals who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces have demonstrated since the country’s founding in 1776.

And while discounts at restaurants and businesses in observance of Veterans Day are a wonderful way to say “Thank you for your service,” we are most grateful for the camaraderie among our comrades.

On Friday, November 10, the American Legion Post 194 will conduct its yearly ambulation from Central Elementary School to Pennsylvania Park in observance of Veterans Day.
