Veteran’s Day Parade: New Bedford, Massachusetts, and the New Bedford’s Veterans’ Advisory Board, have revealed plans for the 2023 New Bedford Veterans Day Parade. The parade is set for Saturday, November 11. It will start at the Rockdale Avenue and Union Street intersection in Buttonwood Park. The formation begins at 10 a.m. and the parade starts at 11 a.m. It will end at the New Bedford Main Library.

The parade route goes east on Union Street to County Street, then north to William Street. It continues east on William Street to City Hall, ending at Pleasant Street and William Street intersection. The ending point is 613 Pleasant Street, downtown New Bedford.

A Veteran’s Day service will follow the parade. All community members are welcome to attend. Seating near the reviewing stand is reserved for elderly and disabled veterans. The Grand Marshal for this year’s parade is Deven Robitaille, a U.S. Army sergeant who served in Korea, Qatar, and the U.S.

The New Bedford Veteran’s Services Department invites all interested parties to join the parade, regardless of an RSVP. They believe everyone should have the chance to honor veterans on this special day.

The New Bedford Veterans Advisory Board and New Bedford, Massachusetts, have unveiled the agenda for the 2023 New Bedford Veterans Day Parade. The scheduled parade date is Saturday, November 11. The parade route follows County Street to the north of William Street, then proceeds east on Union Street. It terminates at the intersection of William Street and Pleasant Street, continuing east towards City Hall. Downtown New Bedford, at 613 Pleasant Street, is the final destination.

Post-parade, a Veterans Day service will be held. All members of the community are invited to attend. Reserving seating in the vicinity of the reviewing stand are disabled and elderly veterans. Grand Marshal for this year’s parade is U.S. Army sergeant Deven Robitaille, an eminent veteran of deployments in Korea, Qatar, and the United States.

The service will be relocated to the Fort Taber Community Center in Fort Taber Park in the event of inclement weather. Without an RSVP, Veterans’ Agent Christopher Gomes is reachable via phone or email for those who are interested in marching in the parade but have not yet done so.

Without requiring an RSVP, the New Bedford Veteran’s Services Department invites all interested parties to participate in the parade. On this special day, they believe that everyone should have the opportunity to honor veterans.
