Viktor Hovland’s Career in Professional Golf
In 2018, Hovland became the first Norwegian player to win the prestigious United States Amateur. As a consequence of his success, he received invitations to the 2019 Masters Tournament, 2019 U.S. Open, and 2019 Open Championship. He participated as an amateur in the 2018 Emirates Australian Open and tied for thirteenth position.
At the 2019 Masters Tournament, Viktor Hovland played exceptionally well, finishing three under par and tied for 32nd place while also receiving the low amateur award. As a consequence of his performance, he ascended to the top of the World Amateur Golf Ranking.
