Vivek Ramaswamy’s intimate dinner with a Silicon Valley fundraiser will cost $50,000

He last travelled to India in 2015, not long after getting married. He stayed for around two weeks, touring Kerala's many temples.

Vivek Ramaswamy’s intimate dinner: Next Friday, a group of Silicon Valley business leaders will organise a dinner to collect money for Vivek Ramaswamy, the Indian-American running for president in the Republican Party. The “intimate dinner and discussion” with Ramaswamy will take place in the San Francisco Bay Area residence of investor and CEO of Social Capital Chamath Palihapitiya.

A Puck writer named Teddy Schleifer tweeted an invitation for the event, which has a base cost of $50,000.

Venture capitalist David Sacks, Brad Gerstner of Altimeter Capital, and renowned cryptocurrency investors Matt Huang and Katie Haun are listed as the additional hosts on the invitation.

Since his appearance at the first Republican presidential primary debate last month, Vivek Ramaswamy’s 38 popularity has increased.

He recently challenged the well-known H-1B visa programme, claiming that the present “lottery” system needs to be “gutted” and replaced with a “meritocratic” skill-based immigration policy to meet US demands.

Ramaswamy was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of Indian immigrants; his mother was a geriatric psychiatrist and his father worked as an engineer for General Electric. Over 40 years ago, his parents made the long journey to the United States.
