Who are Maro Itoje’s parents, Efe and Florence?

Maro Itoje was born in Camden, North London, on October 28, 1994 to Nigerian parents Efe Itoje and Florence Itoje.

The full name of Maro Itoje is Oghenemaro Miles. He is a member of the Gallagher Premiership club Saracens.

The following year after signing his first professional contract with Saracens in 2012, he made his debut.

Following his selection to the England team before to the commencement of the 2016 Six Nations Championship, he swiftly garnered a considerable following from both Saracens and England enthusiasts, establishing himself as a popular figure among fans.

He attended Salcombe Preparatory School in Southgate, North London, for his primary education before transferring to St George’s School in Harpenden, Hertfordshire.

Itoje was introduced to rugby for the first time at the age of eleven. Later, he was awarded a scholarship to attend Harrow School in London.

Itoje participated in basketball, football, rugby, and athletics while he was still in school. At the U17 level, he represented England in the shot put.

He began his professional rugby career in London while attending the School of Oriental and African Studies.

Itoje has experience in modeling. In 2018, he was featured on the cover of Tatler alongside Prince William and Harry’s cousin, Amelia Windsor.

Maro Itoje grew up with his older brother Jeremy and younger sister Isabel. His older brother, Jeremy, used to be a forward in rugby. He is currently the Chief of Staff to the Global Head of FS&I and Atos Syntel for the IT behemoth Atos.

Jeremy stated in one source that his younger sibling Maro is the family’s glory. His family observes his games frequently together.

Beno Obano, a loosehead prop for England and Bath, is Itoje’s cousin. Ollie Thorley, whose grandfather remarried a Nigerian woman who is the aunt of the Maro, is also Itoje’s cousin.

The Blindside Flanker was unconvinced by the facts he discovered about his African origin after graduating from high school.

He believed that many fascinating historical details were not taught in schools. As a result, he started learning about the black race and speaking out against discrimination.

In 2020, he and his family participated in a marketing campaign for Ralph Lauren. Itoje has experience in modeling. Alongside Prince William and Harry’s cousin, Amelia Windsor, he was featured on the cover of Tatler in 2018.

The rugby athlete has won the European Champions Cup, the Six Nations Championship, and the English Premiership with Saracens on three separate occasions.
