Morgan, who was born in San Dimas, California, on July 2, 1989, developed an early interest in football. She participated in youth football with multiple clubs and excelled throughout high school, obtaining a scholarship to play at the University of California, Berkeley.

Morgan’s aptitude and skill were evident during her college career, and she emerged as a standout player for the Cal Golden Bears. Her remarkable performances drew the attention of professional teams, and in the inaugural season of the Women’s Professional Soccer League in 2010, she was drafted by the Western New York Flash.

Morgan’s career flourished as she rose to prominence on the United States women’s national football team (USWNT). She made her USWNT début in 2010 and made an immediate impression with her speed, agility, and goal-scoring ability. She played a crucial role in assisting the team to capture the gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics, scoring the decisive goal against Canada in the semi-final.
