Who Is Eileen Gu Boyfriend?

Several sources say that Eileen Gu does not currently have a boyfriend. Su Yiming, who also won an Olympic gold, is good friends with Eileen Gu. People who ski like Su won gold in the big air and silver in the slopestyle at the Beijing Games.

From the time they were kids, the two teens practiced together on the hills. Their connection goes beyond sports because they are both dual citizens and have had questions about who they are and where they belong.

He told Olympics.com that Eileen Gu is like his sister and that they always care for and support each other. He also said it was a special feeling that not many people get to share when they win an Olympic title with someone. Su Yiming was called a hero and an example by Eileen Gu, who also told him she loved and appreciated him.

How did Su Yiming and Eileen Gu meet?

When Su Yiming and Eileen Gu met for the first time, they were 10 or 11 years old. A lot of people who learn together in winter sports do it at the same Beijing ski area. They would often switch gears and try the skills of each other. They even have a picture of the two of them as kids holding skis and snowboards.

As kids, they grew up next to each other and helped and pushed each other. They both wanted to win an Olympic title. Along with being bilingual, they had a spirit of adventure, loved music and fashion, and were open to new experiences.

In what place did Eileen Gu grow up?

The New York Times says that Eileen seems to have grown up in the Sea Cliff neighborhood of San Francisco. The grandmother she grew up with, Feng Guozhen, lives with her mother.

The Golden Gate Bridge was to the west of her bedroom. The Times says that Eileen often talks about her grandma in her Chinese-language social media posts and short films.

A part of every summer she spends in Beijing.

The New York Times says that Eileen speaks Mandarin Chinese very well and has spent most of her summers visiting friends and family in Beijing. She writes on Instagram that she learned that Beijing was picked to host the Winter Olympics while working at a summer camp there.

Under the picture, it says, “I was ‘coaching’ a small Chinese trampoline summer camp in Beijing when we all gathered in front of the TV to watch the bid for the 2022 Olympics.”

Even back then, I was determined to reach my two very lofty goals: 1) compete in the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics; and 2) make freeskiing popular in China, which wasn’t popular there at the time. As a kid in the US, I learned how to ski, and I wanted to inspire Chinese skiers the same way my American role models did for me. I suggested a freeski tournament nine years ago. Because of this, China held its first slopestyle tournament. Ever.”

What did Eileen write about her choice on Instagram?

Eileen has already talked about it in public. She wrote on Instagram that choosing to fight for China was a “very hard decision.” In her writing, she said, “I am proud of both my heritage and my American upbringings.”

“At the 2022 Beijing Olympic Winter Games, where my mom was born, I will have the chance to help inspire millions of young people and spread the word about the sport I love. I hope that skiing will bring people together, help them understand each other, open lines of contact, and help make friends between countries. It will make my dreams come true if I can encourage just one young girl to break a rule.

Has Eileen said in public that she is giving up her American citizenship?

It’s likely. ESPN says that Eileen has never officially admitted that she has given up her American passport. But China doesn’t let people have more than one identity, and the International Olympic Committee says that runners must have passports from both of the countries they compete for.

China does not allow people to have dual citizenship, so CNN says that the government has asked people to report people who secretly have two cards. Donald Clarke is a professor of Chinese law at George Washington University Law School. He doesn’t think the government would make an exception for an Olympian. A very small number of things don’t follow this rule.
