Who is Myrta Romanos: Myrta Romanos, who was revealed to be the stepmother of Christopher Preciado, was taken into custody in relation to the killings of Matthew Guerra and Savanah Soto.

The third person to be detained in connection with the murder case involving the untimely deaths of adolescent girl Savanah Soto and her lover Matthew Guerra is Christopher Preciado’s stepmother, Myrta Romanos. The couple vanished a few days before Christmas, and on December 26, 2023, their remains were discovered.

Romanos is scheduled to appear in court on three felonies, including tampering with evidence, mistreatment of a body, and modifying or destroying a human corpse. According to San Antonio police, Romanos may be seen at the crime site the night of the killings in video evidence that was retrieved through forensics. After being seen driving out in a black pickup, she was subsequently seen coming home with Christopher and Ramon Preciado, his father.

In the past, Ramon Preciado and Christopher were detained and charged in relation to the case. Christopher is accused of capital murder, and his father, who is said to have helped move the bodies, was charged with misuse of a body. Myrta Romanos was taken into custody after detectives found internet evidence suggesting a possible third party was involved.

Romanos attempted to hide the bodies and tampered with evidence connected to the killings, according to police testimonies. She was arrested after identifying the pistol used in the murders as being her own. Christopher Preciado said he died accidentally after a scuffle, but investigators disregarded his statement since the wounds did not match his version of events.

Just two days after going missing, Savannah Soto was supposed to go into labour. On December 26, her remains and Guerra’s were found in Guerra’s Kia Optima. Bexar County District Attorney Joe Gonzales stressed that an unborn child is regarded as a person under Texas law, which might result in Christopher Preciado being charged with capital murder for the unborn child’s death, Fabian. While officials want to get the case tried, the investigation is still ongoing.
