Tish Cyrus’s Husband: Tish Cyrus and actor Dominic Purcell are now married! The couple wed in an intimate ceremony in Malibu, California, on August 19, 2023.

Tish, the mother of Miley and Noah Cyrus, announced her engagement to Purcell, who is best known for his role on Fox’s Prison Break from 2005 to 2008, just four months earlier.

Due to the popularity of the Golden Globe-nominated programme, it was revived in 2019, with Purcell reprising his lead role opposite co-star Wentworth Miller. However, his portrayal of protagonist Lincoln Burros is only one of many roles the actor has performed, having appeared in numerous TV and film projects since.

Uncertain as to how the actor and Tish first met, the couple made their relationship Instagram official in November 2022 after she posted a cute photo of them embracing. In the subsequent months, they have each revealed glimpses of their relationship on social media.

They have also attended events together, including Miley’s New Year’s Eve special in 2022. Tish shared a photo of Purcell kissing her on the cheek from the evening, as well as photographs with friends and of her daughters Brandi and Miley performing.

Purcell was born in England but relocated to Australia when he was 2 years old. As he grew older, he eventually shifted his concentration to theatre studies, having pursued his early education there. In fact, during his tenure at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in Perth, he attended classes with Hugh Jackman.

Purcell, like Cyrus, has multiple grown offspring of his own. He was previously married to Rebecca Williamson, with whom he had four children: Lily-Rose and Audrey, Augustus and Joseph. The relationship lasted from 1998 until 2008.

He was severely injured while filming Prison Break.

In June 2016, Purcell was injured on the set of Fox’s successful drama and shared a bloody photo of the aftermath on Instagram. In the caption, he assured his followers that he was fine.

Back at work immediately,” he wrote alongside the gruesome image. “Having a thick skull pays off when an iron bar lands on your head!! Purcell was filming in Morocco when a dislodged iron bar from the set struck him on the head, resulting in a fractured nose and head injury. Twelve days later, Purcell had two deep head wounds, the larger of which required 150 sutures.

On August 19, 2023, Tish and Purcell exchanged “I do.” The couple exchanged vows during a modest Malibu poolside ceremony. Tish wore a wedding gown without straps, while the Prison Break actor wore a white shirt and dark trousers. Miley and Brandi Cyrus were attendants at the wedding.
