Winter Storm in NY and NJ: When Friday night arrives, the Tri-State area will be hit with yet another round of heavy rain, so there is no rest for the weary.
There will be no precipitation for the majority of the day on Friday; however, the low-pressure system will bring further heavy rains and strong winds during the night and into the early morning hours of Saturday.
A storm that hits later than Tuesday night, but similar to Tuesday night. Although the total amount of rainfall and the wind speed would be lower, the impact will still be severe because of our debilitated state.
Due to Winter Storm in NY and NJ, LI, and CT have also been given a wind advisory, according to NWS. Watch for flooding. Coastal Flood Warnings and Advisories are issued. River Flood Warnings are issued.
TIMING: This evening at nine o’clock in the city; early tomorrow morning, between twelve and four o’clock
Irregular amounts are common. from 75 inches to 1.5 inches of rain. More than two inches locally. When it first appears in the mountains, it is snow with a tiny accumulation.

Flooding in urban areas, major rivers (Passaic), and isolated big coastal areas that range from mild to severe. Downed trees may create power disruptions.
Although rivers will rise again tonight, smaller rivers are expected to flood only minimally. The smaller rivers in the Hudson Valley have the potential to cause moderate flooding.
Alongside the storm, an Arctic blast will move throughout the country, bringing with it a decrease in temperature as well as circumstances that are characterized by wind.
Early snowfall is likely due to a deep, penetrating cold blast that helps form a storm track.
A coastal low is expected to form along the southeastern coast on Monday and move northeast.
With cold air still present, snowfall appears to be a possibility across a significant portion of the region; however, there is still a great deal of uncertainty on the path.
