You Season 4: Breaking Down the Ending Of Part 1

Season three You left Joe in Europe, where he had murdered his wife Love and abandoned his son Henry with a neighbour.

You Season 4: Joe Goldberg, the serial killer and compulsive stalker portrayed by Penn Badgley, has returned. Season three You left Joe in Europe, where he had murdered his wife Love and abandoned his son Henry with a neighbour. Before she passed away, Love informed Joe’s current girlfriend Marienne that he was responsible for her boyfriend’s death.

In the final episode of the season, Joe was in Paris, France, searching for Marienne because he was convinced she was the one. Joe experiences being stalked at the beginning of Season 4 and attempts to determine who within his new group of pals is sending him threatening messages. With an Agatha Christie spin.

What Happens in Season Four, Part One of You?

Joe is nearly undetectable at the London university where he teaches literature. His new name is Jonathan, and he makes fast friends with Malcolm, a wealthy and influential professor who resides in the apartment he shares with his fiancee Kate. In the pilot episode, Joe is introduced to the people who would become a part of his new world when Malcolm invites him to a secret party.

Joe is able to dispose of Malcolm’s body without raising any red flags, and he eventually locates a horrified Marienne who has followed him back to Paris in order to be with their child. Following Marienne’s rejection, he develops affections for Kate and pursues a relationship with her during the first half of the season, resulting in a number of tricky circumstances.

Several of Joe’s affluent friends inexplicably die over the course of several episodes, leading the authorities to suspect the “Eat the Rich Killer.” This time, Joe is not the murderer, despite everyone’s natural desire to suspect him.

The genuine killer begins a series of mental tricks to distract Joe after taunting him with texts that vanish after a predetermined period. Joe returns to his flat following Simon’s murder during an art exhibition arranged by Kate and discovers that the killer has stapled news articles about Joe’s prior victims.

Who is the killer of Eat The Rich?

Rhys Montrose, one of Joe’s elite group of friends, admits to being the murderer and the stalker. Rhys discloses to Joe that he intended to frame Roald for the murders and then kill him in such a way that it would appear he committed suicide. Given that Roald has a long-standing infatuation on Kate, Joe’s current ideal partner, this may appear to be a win-win situation for Joe.

Rhys has a condition, however: Joe must murder Roald and do all the dirty job himself. Joe hesitates and attempts to elude Rhys by unchaining himself.

After finding that Joe lied to him about wanting to participate in the scheme, Rhys knocks over a lantern and sets fire to the prison where Joe and Roald are being confined. Kate’s feelings for Joe only grow stronger as a result of her assistance. Kate makes another attempt to take Joe out on a date upon her return to London.

Joe, however, is wary due to his own past and does not wish to place her in danger. When he considers Kate, he considers how he may expose Rhys as a murderer. At the conclusion of the season, Rhys announces his candidature for London mayor. Joe decides to stop Rhys after realising that he is the only person capable of doing so because he is the only one who knows the truth.
