The program is part of a drive to make Utah’s towns and surroundings greener as the world aims to lower its carbon footprint and increase awareness of the consequences of emissions.

Qualified citizens can thus obtain a $300–$1300 voucher to purchase an e-bike, thus reducing the amount of cars, trains, planes, and buses they use and increasing the quality of the air everyone around them breathes.

What makes fossil fuels harmful?

Methane and other greenhouse gases trap heat in the Earth’s atmosphere, causing global warming. This leads to drastic changes in the climate, such as an increase in the frequency and intensity of heat waves, storms, and floods.

100 VA and 100 P&T: What is the difference?

Warming temperatures disturb and jeopardize species, contaminate food and water sources, and ruin delicate ecosystems. Additionally, melting polar ice caps and glaciers raise sea levels, heightening the danger of coastal floods.

Increased air pollution, the spread of illnesses, and the prevalence of diseases like cancer, particularly lung cancer, all pose threats to human health.
