$1,300 Stimulus Checks in March: As a result of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, a large number of Americans will receive a $1,300 stimulus payment.
These checks will not be available to everyone, however.
Who is receiving these stimulus checks?
The Minnesota Department of Revenue is providing this money to people who did not cash their tax refund checks last year.
Approximately 128,000 people should receive one-time payments of $1,300 by mid-March if their refund checks were not cashed.

Are you eligible?
If you were one of the 2.1 million people who received a tax refund last year but did not cash it, here is what you could receive:

A couple whose incomes do not exceed $150,000 could receive $520 if they file together.

A single taxpayer with income up to $75,000 could receive $260 in tax relief.

Additionally, each dependent is entitled to an additional $260.
Families with five dependent children may even qualify for up to $1,300 in assistance.
The Minnesota Department of Revenue uses these checks to support local communities financially, and these checks will not be taxed.
You should get one if you do not have one by May 1. Please contact the Minnesota Department of Revenue if you have not done so.
