The Alaska Fund provides annual payments to eligible residents who meet PFD requirements, but the amount depends on the fund’s performance.

Adam Crum, Department of Revenue commissioner, announced Alaskans will receive a fair share of the state’s natural resources and commended the Permanent Fund Dividend Division for their diligent application process.

Online submissions

Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) applications are open online from January 1 to March 31, 2024, with paper applications available at distribution centers and PFD offices. The most straightforward method is to apply online; upon submission, you will receive a confirmation number.

Residents of Alaska must remember:

  • The use of direct deposit applications. The initial collective payment for eligible online applications, paid via direct deposit, is set to begin in October.
  • Applicants submit their applications online. Applicants must electronically submit their applications and include a payment check to be eligible. If paper applications are allowed, the funds will be transferred as part of the second mass payment at the end of October.
  • The MyAlaska database. When entering your online application, use your myAlaska username. “my PFD” enables users to access details, sign electronically, modify address information, establish direct deposit, and view their 1099 tax documents using their myAlaska credentials.
  • Possible delays. Applications that contain absent or incomplete responses will be subject to review.
  • The PFD provides a financial boost, but its proper management ensures it will continue to offer benefits for future generations. Alaskans might contemplate investing in their community, budgeting for necessities, or preparing for the future.
