$1,702 Stimulus Checks for April: Are You Eligible for This Payment?

The PFD program will provide a $1,702 stimulus payment to Alaska residents in April 2025, aimed at addressing rising living costs and boosting the local economy.

$1,702 Stimulus Checks for April: Alaska residents are set to receive a $1,702 stimulus payment in April 2025 through the state’s Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) program. This money comes from Alaska’s oil revenues and is designed to help residents with rising living costs while boosting the local economy. But who exactly qualifies for this payment? Here’s what you need to know.

$1,702 Stimulus Checks for April: Eligibility

Resident requirement

  • Applicants must be permanent residents of Alaska.
  • Applicants should have lived in Alaska for at least 180 days during 2024.
  • If temporarily absent due to military service, employment, or education, specific criteria must be met.

How Are Payments Sent?

Approved recipients will get their money in one of three ways:

  • Direct deposit: Fastest option for those who provided bank details
  • Prepaid debit card: For people without bank accounts
  • Paper check: slowest method, mailed to your address

Payment Schedule

If your application was approved early, you may have already received your payment on March 20. Otherwise, the next distribution dates are April 17 (for applications processed by April 9) and May 15 (for those processed by May 7).

This stimulus payment is part of Alaska’s long-standing effort to share its oil wealth with residents. While this year’s application window has passed, eligible Alaskans should prepare early for next year’s PFD by keeping their residency and legal status in good standing.
