3 Money-Saving Tricks for Amazon Shopping

If you shop on Amazon often, you may already know that you can find great deals on the site all year long.

3 Money-Saving Tricks for Amazon Shopping: The holidays can be a really expensive time of the year. Beginning in late November and ending in late December, you may find that your credit card fees are double what they normally are. This is very important if you’re moving and shopping for gifts during the holidays.

Amazon offers great deals all year long if you shop there often. During the holidays, you should be extra cautious when shopping on Amazon. That being said, here are some ways to save money when you buy gifts on Amazon.

3 Money-Saving Tricks for Amazon Shopping:

1. Keep your cart full and keep an eye on it all the time

Add things to your cart on Amazon, but don’t check out yet? No problem; you can save them for later and check prices later. When shopping this holiday season, put your things in an Amazon cart and check it every day to see how the prices have changed.

It’s possible that a toy you added that cost $39.99 at first is now only $24.99. You’d want to jump on that kind of deal.

2. Look for deals when you’re not shopping on busy days

There is a strong belief among many shoppers that Black Friday and Cyber Monday will have the best deals of the holiday season. On the other hand, Amazon may have had a lot of sales before and after those times.

For that matter, it’s best to do some of your Christmas shopping on Amazon after Thanksgiving. The cause? Items that are overstocked and don’t sell as well as hoped between Black Friday and Cyber Monday might be marked down. That means you can get things for less money.

3. Don’t put off shopping until the last minute.

If you have Amazon Prime, you know that a lot of things can be shipped to you for free in two days. There is one problem, though: not all items on the site can be shipped in two days. Items that aren’t eligible for Prime may take six to seven days to come, or even longer, unless you pay extra for faster shipping.

So, don’t wait until the last minute to finish your Christmas shopping. For example, if you’re shopping for Christmas gifts, you might want to try to get everything done by December 15 or 16. That gives you time to get used to shipping taking longer without having to pay extra for faster delivery.

Even if Amazon says it can ship in two days, couriers often wait until the last minute around Christmas. Save money and make things easier by not waiting until the last minute.

This Christmas season, shopping on Amazon could help you save a lot of money. If you play your cards right, you might even keep more money in your bank account.
