Alaskans will receive a $3,200 cash payment in September 2024, aimed at addressing rising living costs and maintaining financial stability through the Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend.
3200 Stimulus Payment Claim: In September 2024, eligible Alaskans will receive a $3,200 cash payment as part of a state program designed to help with rising living costs. This payment, issued through the Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend (APFD), includes an extra energy relief payment alongside a share of the state’s oil profits.
The initiative aims to offer timely financial assistance to residents as costs continue to increase. Although the Alaska Legislature initially proposed a $5,500 payment, they settled on $3,200 after discussions to balance providing meaningful support while maintaining the state’s financial stability.
In order to balance inflation and Alaskans’ high energy expenses, the $3,200 includes both the regular Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) and a one-time energy relief bonus.
Residents must fulfill the basic PFD eligibility conditions, which include being residents of Alaska for the entire calendar year and fulfilling additional residency requirements, in order to be eligible for this payment. For individuals who chose direct deposit, payments will start on September 20, 2024, while paper check distributions are anticipated to happen in early October.
