3284 Stimulus Payment Eligibility: How to know your if your Payment is Confirmed for Winter Relief?

Alaska will provide $3,284 in 2024 through a Permanent Fund Dividend and an annual Energy Relief Payment to residents to help manage winter and rising energy costs.

3284 Stimulus Payment Eligibility: Alaska will provide benefits of up to $3,284 in 2024 to help residents manage the harsh winter and rising energy costs. Two separate checks will be sent from the Alaska Department of Revenue for these amounts.

First, people who live in Alaska will get a $2,634 Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD). This is paid for by the money made from selling natural resources in Alaska. Second, there will be a one-time Energy Relief Payment of $650 to further assist during the cold months, when temperatures can drop to -15°F. While the PFD is an annual benefit, the Energy Relief Payment will not be repeated in future years.

To be eligible for benefits in Alaska, residents must meet the following criteria:

  • State Residency: Claimants must be current residents of Alaska.
  • Social Security Number: They must have a valid Social Security number.
  • Tax Filing: Individuals should have filed their taxes on time.
  • Criminal Record: They must not have any criminal records.
  • Age or Disability: Those who are disabled or over 65 years old are also eligible for benefits.

When is the $3284 stimulus going to be funded?

The Alaska Department of Revenue started giving out benefits on October 3, helping low-income families and people who are having a hard time this fall.

People had to be in a “eligible not-paid” status as of September 20 in order to get these payments. People who become “eligible not-paid” between September 21 and October 14 will get paid again, but the date of the next round has not been set.
