First, people who live in Alaska will get a $2,634 Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD). This is paid for by the money made from selling natural resources in Alaska. Second, there will be a one-time Energy Relief Payment of $650 to further assist during the cold months, when temperatures can drop to -15°F. While the PFD is an annual benefit, the Energy Relief Payment will not be repeated in future years.

To be eligible for benefits in Alaska, residents must meet the following criteria:

State Residency: Claimants must be current residents of Alaska.
Social Security Number: They must have a valid Social Security number.
Tax Filing: Individuals should have filed their taxes on time.
Criminal Record: They must not have any criminal records.
Age or Disability: Those who are disabled or over 65 years old are also eligible for benefits.
