528 Stimulus Payment: People in Ann Arbor, Michigan, who met the standards for a special program that guarantees income will get their $528 payment for the third month.
The goal of Guaranteed Income to Grow Ann Arbor is to help small business owners and individuals with low incomes. The University of Michigan’s Poverty Solutions team is running it.
One hundred people who were picked to take part in the plan got money early this year. Kristin Seefeldt, associate head of Poverty Solutions, told the Washington Examiner that these payments are usually sent out on the 15th of each month, though this can change on weekends and holidays.

The experiment, which aims to evaluate the effect of guaranteed income on boosting economic stability and growth among low-income Ann Arbor residents, will continue to provide support through 2025.
“This guaranteed income pilot is about celebrating residents who do much to strengthen our community but are still struggling to make ends meet,” stated Seefeldt, according to Marca.
“The research study’s success depends on both sponsored and unfunded participants, allowing other cities nationwide to benefit from Ann Arbor’s guaranteed income strategy.
In contrast to food stamps, which are limited to the purchase of food, those with guaranteed income are free to utilize their funds any way they like.
“You might save money, buy birthday presents, or pay your debts. It’s meant to convey the idea of treating individuals with respect and recognizing the validity of their decisions.”
Applicants had to be Ann Arbor residents, at least eighteen years old, and engaged in gig or small business employment to be eligible for the program.
