90 VA Disability 2025 Increase: The cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) for VA benefits helps veterans financially, which is especially important now that prices are going up due to inflation. The Veterans’ Compensation Cost-of-Living Adjustment Act of 2024, which was just passed, makes sure that VA benefits keep up with rising costs by matching the COLA increases that Social Security recipients get.

If your disability rating is 90%, your VA benefits will go up. The exact amount will depend on what the final COLA percentage is for 2025. This change is very important so that veterans can deal with rising costs without worrying that their benefits are not keeping up with them.

The Social Security Administration (SSA) officially announced the 2.5% COLA, which will take effect in December 2024, just this past October 10. You will be able to see your increase from the 2025 first check in this manner.

What is the amount of the increase you will get in 2025?

The amount of money the VA gives to veterans who are disabled depends on their level of disability and their family situation. Veterans with higher disability ratings get bigger payments, and adding more dependents can make the monthly payments even bigger.

As an example, a veteran who is single and has a 90% disability rating gets $2,241.91 a month. This amount will go up by $60.05. In 2024, it will add up to $2,297.96. In the same way, a veteran with a spouse, a child, and two parents who depend on them gets $2,865.91 a month now, and that will go up by $71.65 to $2,937.56 next year. The cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) helps veterans keep up with inflation, and these price hikes reflect that.

Veterans with a 90% disability rate will see an average increase of $63.53 under the 2025 COLA.

The entire payment table, which compares the payments for 2024 and 2025 based on any dependents a beneficiary may have, is shown below.
