CalWORKS Cash Aid: CalWORKs is a welfare program in California that helps eligible families in all 58 counties by giving them cash aid and other services. The county welfare offices are in charge of running the program.
Families in need can get short-term help with housing, food, energy, clothes, and medical care through this program.
Families who are eligible for ongoing aid get money every month to help pay for things like food and housing.
In California, people can get help from the government by calling, going in person, faxing, or mailing an application.
California Department of Social Services has applications on its website, but you have to bring them back to the county office.
On the BenefitsCal.com page, you can apply online for some counties.
Find out the status of an application or case, contact a county worker, or change an appointment at the local county social services office.

When will your December pay come in?
CalWORKs benefits are sent to people between the first and third of each month. CalFresh benefits are sent to people based on the last digit of their county case number and can be accessed through an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card.
If you are having problems with websites like e-benefits or BenefitsCal.com, you should contact the county social services or human services office in your area.
To report a lost or stolen EBT card, a person must call the EBT Customer Service Center at (877) 328-9677. When you set up an Authorized Representative (AR), someone else can use your EBT account to help you shop.
The EBT card can be used in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Guam, but not in Puerto Rico. It can be used at any store or ATM that has the Quest sign on it.
The amount of monthly help varies on things like how many people are eligible and what their support needs are. Families with children who don’t receive enough parental care or support, or who are jobless, may qualify.
