Capital One Venture X Airport Lounge Access: Flying can be exciting but let’s face it, long layovers and crowded terminals are not. That’s where lounge access perks like those offered with the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card come in. If you’re exploring this premium card and want a clear, friendly guide to all the lounges you can access (and how), you’re in the right place.
The Capital One Venture X is one of the most talked-about travel cards because it comes with premium airport lounge access benefits that can make travel more comfortable and enjoyable. These perks are part of why many frequent flyers choose this card.
Primary cardholders still enjoy complimentary access to a network of lounges including Capital One’s own lounges and Priority Pass lounges as long as you show your card and same-day boarding pass.
But important changes effective February 1, 2026 affect guests and additional users (that’s companions or family members on your account). So let’s walk through what’s included and what’s changed.
How to Activate Your Capital One Card Fast: Online, App, and Phone Methods
Capital One operates its own premium lounges in major U.S. airports. These lounges are designed to be relaxing, stylish spaces with premium food and drink, quiet seating areas, Wi-Fi, power outlets, and more like the flagship at JFK Airport’s Terminal 4, which offers artisan snacks, local beverages, showers, and crafted cocktails (a huge hit with travelers).
Current U.S. Capital One Lounge Locations include:
Capital One Landings (smaller outposts with food/dining) in Washington National (DCA) and others in development
Changes in 2026: Primary cardholders keep their free access. However, guests are no longer included automatically; after February 1, 2026 you’ll need to pay guest fees unless you meet a spend threshold (more on that later).
Beyond Capital One lounges, Venture X cardholders also get a complimentary Priority Pass Select membership.
Priority Pass provides access to 1,300+ lounges around the worldfrom Asia to Europe to the Americas. These lounges vary by airport, but most offer snacks, drinks, Wi-Fi, and comfy seating.
To use this benefit:
Starting Feb. 1, 2026, complimentary guest entry to Priority Pass lounges will no longer be included. Guests can still enter, but you’ll pay a fee per visit (e.g., ~$35).

This means:
Priority Pass access remains one of the widest lounge networks globally and is a huge value for frequent international travelers.
The lounge access landscape is changing, and it’s important to understand how these rules impact your travel plans.
Previously, additional users on your Venture X card also enjoyed lounge access. Starting February 1, 2026, that no longer happens automatically. If you want authorized users to keep lounge access, you’ll pay an annual lounge access fee (approx. $125 per person).
Before 2026, you could bring guests into lounges with you. After Feb. 1, 2026:
Capital One Lounges & Landings: Free guest access is removed, unless you hit roughly $75,000 in annual card spending.
Priority Pass Lounges: Guests are still welcome but now at a paid entry fee per guest.
This means lounge benefits are still strong, but travel companions may no longer enter for free unless you meet certain conditions or pay guest fees.
1. Sign in to the Capital One Mobile app. A verified SSN is required to obtain Capital One online access and enroll in Priority Pass.
2. Navigate to the Benefits page for your Venture X or Venture X Business card.
3. Select the Priority Pass lounge access benefit, then select View Priority Pass.
4. Follow the instructions to complete Priority Pass enrollment.
5. After completing enrollment, you will receive an email from Priority Pass with instructions about how to download the Priority Pass mobile app and access your digital membership card.
Here’s how to use your Venture X lounge perks to the fullest:
Always Activate Your Priority Pass: It is not automatic and you need to sign up through your Capital One account.
Check Lounge Locations Before You Fly: Lists of airport lounges often change, and the Priority Pass app will allow you to find the closest options.
Plan Guest Visits Carefully: If you travel with your family, think about spending in a way that would unlock guest perks or being ready for guest fees.
Use Capital One Lounges Whenever Possible: The U.S. lounges are always very well rated for their food, comfort, and service.
The Capital One Venture X card is still a first-rate option for those travelers who are after the best airport lounge access and worldwide coverage. At the same time, the 2026 policies are changing mainly in terms of guests and authorized users. If you are going overseas, or you just want to unwind before a domestic flight, this card opens the doors of the best airport lounges worldwide thus making your trip more comfortable and pleasant.
