Chapter 1606 VA Benefits Rates: How Much Payment You Can Receive Based on Your Enrollment?

Former warriors share a common drive for achievement, with VA programs like MGIB-SR aiming to improve living standards by teaching new job skills or career education.

Chapter 1606 VA Benefits Rates: One thing that all former warriors have in common is the drive to achieve. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has many programs to help with this, such as the Montgomery GI Bill Selected Reserve (MGIB-SR), also known as Chapter 1606.

Chapter 1606 of the VA Act helps soldiers raise their standard of living by teaching them new job skills or career education. You can enrol by going to your local VA Regional Processing Office or going online and filling out the required forms.

The level of benefits from the program depends on what kind of education or training you get and how many hours of training or education you finish. Your weekly benefits may go down if you are in an apprenticeship program, taking fewer classes than full-time, working fewer hours per week, or learning on the job.
