The California state program CalFresh helps low-income people and families get food. It is similar to the federal Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP).

Benefits in December 2023 will be awarded between the first and tenth of each month, depending on the case number linked to the end of the EBT card, which we will discuss next.

• The payment will be made on December 1.
• If the case number ends in 2, the payment is due on December 2.
• The payment will be made on December 3 if the case number ends in 3.
• The payment will be made on December 4 if the case number ends in 4.
• The payment will be made on December 5 if the case number ends in 5.
• The payment will be made on December 6 if the case number ends in 6.
• The payment will be made on December 7 if the case number ends in 7.
• If the case number ends in 8, the payment is due on December 8.
• The payment will be made on December 9 if the case number ends in 9.
• The payment will be made on December 10 if the case number ends in 0.

How much is CalFresh 2023 every month?

The benefit is sent electronically, and it can be used to buy groceries at many stores and supermarkets. However, it’s not enough to make someone completely dependent on it.

But the amounts left over from November will carry over to December. This way, claimants won’t lose the money they were given from one month to the next.

To make sure that everyone gets the right amount for their needs, the regular amount is based on things like family size, income, and deductions.

As of October 2023, this is the highest monthly amount that can be paid:

• For a home with one person was $291.
• For a family of two, it cost $536.
• It cost $776 for a family of three.
• It cost $973 for a family of four.
• It cost $1155 for a family of five.
• It cost $1386 for a family of six.
• It cost $1532 for a family of seven.
• For a family of eight, it cost $1751.
• For families with more than eight people, an extra $219 would be added to the number for a family of eight.
