Most food items, such as fruits, vegetables, bread, dairy products, meat, poultry, fish, and non-alcoholic beverages, can be purchased with the scheme. However, it cannot be used to purchase non-food items, alcohol, tobacco, vitamins, supplements, hot prepared foods, or meals at restaurants (with some exceptions, such as for the elderly or disabled).
