The program places a special emphasis on low-income families, particularly those with young children, and residents of Sacramento County. These groups have been disproportionately affected by inflation and economic hardship.

The goal is to ensure that those most in need, including African American and Native American families in Sacramento, receive financial support. This initiative is part of a broader effort to address economic inequality and provide relief to historically underserved communities.

Eligibility and Income limit

To be eligible for the $725 stimulus check, households must meet certain income requirements based on the number of people in the household.

  • For a household with one person, the annual income limit is $30,000.
  • For two people it is $40,000.
  • For three people it is $50,000.
  • For households with four or more members limit is $60,000.

Only California residents living in specific zip codes within Sacramento County can apply. Applicants must provide proof of residency, such as utility bills or rental agreements, as part of the application process.

Applicants must provide:

  • Tax returns or pay stubs for income verification
  • California ID or driver’s license as proof of residency
  • Child’s birth certificate (if applicable).

Families with at least 1 kid under the age of 5 are given priority in this program. The child must live with the family for more than half of the year, and applicants will need to provide a birth certificate as proof.

How are the payments distributed?

Payments for the $725 stimulus check will be made on the 15th of each month, starting on December 15, 2024, and continuing until November 2025.

  • Families who have bank accounts linked to their previous tax returns will receive payments through direct deposit.
  • For those without bank accounts, payments will be sent by mail to a verified address.

The distribution process has been set up to ensure secure and timely delivery of funds to eligible families.
