USDA FNS offers SNAP recipients reimbursement for EBT card skimming or cloning, reporting theft within 90 days. Track EBT transactions via FIS ebtEDGE app or EBT Customer Service.
Reporting your EBT card as lost or stolen is crucial if your benefits have been stolen. Your account will remain vulnerable and replacement benefits won’t be processed until this is completed. By phoning the customer service number, you can report your card as compromised, get a new card, or modify your PIN.
The USDA will consider a claim within 10 business days of it being lodged. You may receive reimbursement for up to two months’ worth of your pre-incident SNAP benefits or the full amount of the stolen benefits, whichever is less, if the claim is accepted. The day following the claim’s validation, the authorized funds will be placed onto your EBT card.
Please remember that you can only get reimbursed twice during the government fiscal year, which runs from October 1 to September 30. After getting your claim form, the agency will check on it within ten business days and send a “Notice of Stolen SNAP Benefits” to your registered address to let you know it’s been approved. It will be possible for you to get your benefits the next day if the claim is accepted.

Within seven to ten days, the replacement card ought to arrive. Affected persons who have been the target of fraud or skimming must take immediate action to obtain their benefits and start the claims procedure.
