Millions Eligible for Up to £1350: This year, the Government has distributed cost of living payments to millions of eligible individuals as part of a multibillion-pound support programme designed to assist Britons with rising prices.

Work and pensions secretary Mel Stride stated that the payments are intended to assist individuals throughout the United Kingdom for the remainder of this year and the beginning of next year. As “consistent, targeted, and substantial” support for the most vulnerable continues.

Depending on a person’s circumstances, they may be eligible for all five disbursements. Which add up to a welcome £1,350 throughout the year.

The primary cost of living payment consists of three payments totalling £900, while the disability and pensioner cost of living payments are worth £150 and £300, respectively.

The expense of living allowance – £900

The primary cost of living payment will be paid over the duration of the 2023/24 tax year in three instalments of £301, £300, and £299.

This payment is available to recipients of the following means-tested benefits or tax credits:

  • (JSA) Jobseeker’s Allowance based on income.
  • Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) based on income.
  • Pension Support Income Credit
  • Universal Benefits
  • Credit for dependent children
  • Employment Tax Credit.

The DWP determines which weeks of the year individuals must have received these benefits in order to qualify.

The initial payment of £301 has been made to those receiving means-tested benefits and tax credits. This occurred during the months of April and March, and individuals must have received the specified benefits between January 26 and February 25, 2023.

Autumn 2023 and spring 2024 will see the distribution of the next two costs of living payments in the amounts of £300 and £299. Closer to the time, the qualifying dates and confirmed payment dates will be announced.

£150 for disability cost of living payment

The disability cost of living payment, which. If eligible, will be paid in addition to the primary cost of living payment, will be worth £150.

The payment date has now been announced, and eligible individuals can anticipate receiving the funds between June 20, 2023 and July 4, 2023.

To qualify for the payment, individuals must have received one of the following benefits on April 1, 2023:

  • Allowance for Attendance
  • Constant Attendance Allowance
  • Adult Disability Living Allowance
  • Children’s Disability Living Allowance
  • Personal Independence Payment
  • Scottish Adult Disability Payment
  • Child Disability Allowance (Scotland).
  • Payment for Armed Forces Independence
  • Mobility supplement for the war pension.

Cost of living payment for pensioners – £300

Winter Fuel Payment recipients will receive an additional £150 or £300 in addition to their regular payment beginning in November 2023.

The total sum of Winter Fuel Payment (including the pensioner cost of living payment) for the winter of 2023 to 2024 depends on a person’s age and circumstances during the qualifying dates. As determined by their date of birth and the qualifying dates.

Those born prior to September 24, 1957, are eligible for a Winter Fuel Payment for the winter of 2023-2024.

People who are eligible will receive a letter in October or November detailing the amount of Winter Fuel Payment they will receive.
