If you’re eligible for SNAP, you’ll get an EBT card. This card works like a debit card and lets you buy certain food items at approved stores.

In order to guarantee that low-income households and vulnerable members of society maintain a highly nutritious diet, recipients of SNAP, also known as food stamps, can use the program to purchase fruits, vegetables, grains, protein, fats, and fruits.

The Florida Department of Children and Families will send you a notice at least two months before it’s time to renew. If you have a MyACCESS account, you’ll get an email reminder.
