Even though SNAP is a federal program, each state runs it differently. In Florida, it’s managed through the MyACCESS portal, which also handles other programs.

If you’re eligible for SNAP, you’ll get an EBT card. This card works like a debit card and lets you buy certain food items at approved stores.

The Florida Department of Children and Families will send you a notice at least two months before it’s time to renew. If you have a MyACCESS account, you’ll get an email reminder.
